Song Creation Event

The week before last, we got musical.

Together with Bernd Kronowetter and Clemens Schaller from YourTeamsong and a group of HR experts, Doris Weyer, Barbara Horak, and Lena Strohmayer from hrdiamonds tried something very special: creating a team song (practically from scratch) together.

Step by step, something amazing took shape. Clapping, stomping, background vocals. Then the chorus, recorded in three-part harmony, layered live on top of each other. You could literally hear a song being born. And then we got to work writing our own verses, developing them in small groups, and then recording them in a makeshift studio.

What impressed us most about this? We were a motley crew; many of us didn’t know each other beforehand. And yet, the growing sense of connection was palpable as the evening went on.

That’s exactly what we value so much about this format. Team culture can’t be forced, and sometimes it might take a special setting for it to flourish.

Bernd and Clemens have been guiding this process for several years, and we’ve had the pleasure of having them by our side as partners at team events on several occasions. But being part of the choir ourselves was a whole new experience.

Thank you to everyone who shared this special evening with us! And thank you to Bernd and Clemens for their professional guidance from the first round of clapping to the finished recording.

By the way: The finished song was available that very evening.

Curious? You can listen to it right here:
