Book launch: „systemisch bewegt“

40 years of systemic work and the questions of today.

What remains when we look back on four decades of systemic work? And perhaps even more exciting: which questions do we still face today, or which are entirely new?

Last week, Alexander Exner was our guest and took us on a journey through 40 years of systemic work. This was based on ideas from the book he co-authored with Hella Exner, „systemisch bewegt – 40 Jahre, eine Zwischenbilanz“ (“systemically moved – 40 years, an interim assessment).

But rather than simply looking back, the focus was above all on thinking ahead together.

Following initial insights from Alexander Exner, our guests exchanged views in small groups: discussing their own experiences, different perspectives and what systemic thinking can mean today for consulting, leadership and organisations.

Back in the plenary session, these perspectives were brought together again. Moderated by Ulrike Jung and Torsten Jung, there was plenty of scope for questions, discussion and personal exchanges with Alexander Exner. This gave rise to a dialogue on how systemic ideas can be linked to current challenges in counselling, leadership and organisations.

Thank you to Alexander Exner and to all our guests for contributing their thoughts, asking probing questions and sharing their own experiences, as well as for the pleasant wrap-up of the event with sandwiches and good conversation.
