Leadership in Transition – Panel Discussion At TU Wien

This week, our Managing Partner, Doris Weyer, was invited to take part in an exciting panel discussion to mark the 25th anniversary of the General & Technology Management MBA at TU Wien. As an experienced MBA lecturer (for 15 years!), she was invited as an expert on leadership and once again provided important insights.

The discussion focused on the following questions, among others:

  • Which leadership principles will remain - and which will change fundamentally?
→ The conscious decision to want to lead remains central. One of the new additions is the ability to facilitate trust in an even more targeted manner - as the basis for social stability in turbulent times.
  • What do young leaders need to learn today?
→ Dealing with incredible diversity, ambiguity and ambidexterity - the ability to maintain and shape opposites at the same time.

Finally, there was a central message: One has to want to lead. The interface between man and machine in particular requires an ethical foundation - and a positive image of people and technology.

A big thank you for inviting us to this special event, which ended on an inspiring note with sandwiches, sparkling wine and lively discussions.

The exchange with the other participants - including Verena El-Rayes, Wolfgang Güttel, Adolf Stepan and Petra Aigner - was particularly enjoyable. A big thank you also to Katrin Henner for her appreciative and great moderation!
