We have our coffee \u201con the go\u201d (or end up drinking it cold). And real breaks? Not a chance.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we might even feel guilty when taking a moment:<br \/>\n\u201cI really should be working\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet studies show: <strong>Breaks are anything but a waste of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Breaks promote our <strong>personal well-being<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>People wo <strong>don\u2019t take breaks<\/strong> make<strong> more mistakes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Short, self-chosen breaks can increase <strong>work engagement<\/strong> \u2014 especially in the afternoon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So breaks aren\u2019t \u201cjust\u201d good for our well-being, but also for our work and the quality of our results.<\/p>\n<p>And the best part: It doesn\u2019t take much at all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A few minutes are often enough:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consciously enjoy a cup of coffee (away from the screen)<\/li>\n<li>Step to the window or get some fresh air<\/li>\n<li>Take a few deep breaths<\/li>\n<li>Cuddle a dog<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A little nudge:<br \/>\nTry to consciously take <strong>one short break<\/strong> today!
